No one will argue that 2020 was exceptional and ex

No one will argue that 2020 was exceptional and extraordinary for almost all of us.
We are faced with new challenges, and I don’t mean the epidemic itself. I'm talking about closed borders, canceled flights, online romantic dates and even wearing medical masks at weddings, the need to collect the papers to confirm your love relationship at the embassy or the border control. Many of us spent a lot of time locked inside, found ourselves in total isolation, and had plenty of time to understand what is important to us.

However, all these challenges have made us stronger. We have learned to see our priorities, and to find ways to get what we want. For me personally, it was a huge surprise to realize that while the whole world is considered to be shut down, many people still manage to get where they need to.

We were lucky that our country has not closed its borders. National airlines Belavia continued to fly to all countries. Yes, there are some restrictions, yes, Belarus is going through a difficult political period, but none of these circumstances has prevented men searching for their love from coming to Minsk. The European Union has not opened the Schengen borders for Belarusian citizens yet. Nevertheless, all our couples who sincerely wanted to be together are already celebrating Christmas together in Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Berlin.

We all hope that 2021 will bring us relief and peace of mind. Borders will open, air travel will resume, businesses will recover, and life will be easier.
But even if this does not happen, I wish that we all continue to move towards our goals. Admire beautiful women, fall in love and be loved, do crazy things for the sake of your love, fly to the end of the world for your dream and build your happiness according to your own rules.

Some recent news from Belarus: starting from 17th

Some recent news from Belarus: starting from 17th of December, all foreigners, coming to Belarus, must have a recent (not more than 72 hours) negative pcr-test (covide certificate). Entrance is allowed through Minsk International Airport.

That means, Belarus is open for foreigners to come. There is a self-isolation obligation, but nobody actually checks it. In general, Minsk keeps on to live it's life. Restaurants and cafes, shopping malls are open.

There is a recommendation to wear masks in public places, but that doesn't make much of a problem, as outside we can breathe. And yes we already have some snow this year.

The political situation was not resolved in any way, but life returned to its usual rhythm.

so if you haven't decided what to do this winter, think about Belarus.

France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Moldova, USA, Lebanon, Netherlands, Iceland, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Romania, North Macedonia, Ireland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Tunisia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark , Liechtenstein, Malta, Bulgaria, Canada, Spain

should stay 10 days from the date of arrival in self-isolation.

Actually that's good news, as in this case you do not need to do pcr-test, you just sign the self-isolation paper upon arrival.
Self-isolation (quarantine) here in Belarus is NOT controlled by the applications. According to the law there should be special people who check the self-isolation, they can phone to your intercom or from reception to your room to ensure that you are inside.

But in fact nobody checks, last time we heard about somebody being checked was in May.

Do you need to stay inside during 10 days or you can live normal life in Minsk? It's for you to decide. But in any case, maximum fine for not self-isolating is 450 Euro.

The law also mentions that you have to stay at least 10 days in Belarus while on quarantine. But in fact nobody can prevent a foreigner to leave the country earlier unless severe breakage of law. So all clients who intended to stay shorter period, leaved the country without any questions on the border.

People from:
Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Finland

do NOT have to stay in self-isolation. But they have to provide on the border a negative covid-19 test, done within 72 hours before arrival.

!!!! Important update: Recently there was applied

!!!! Important update:
Recently there was applied a new rule in our country. According to this rule, foreigners of the majority of European countries (Germany, Austria, Sweden, France, Italy, Switzerland, UK, Norway, Finland, USA, Canada) are required to have negative COVID-19 test (PCR) for entry to Belarus. This test result should be made no later than 72 hours before the date of crossing the border. The test must be provided in English, Russian or Belarusian language.

This rule doesn't apply to foreigners arriving from Spain, Ukraine, Montenegro, Israel, Malta, Mexico. They must stay in quarantine within 10 days upon arrival to Minsk.

Regarding the quarantine upon arrival, de jure you just sign the quarantine document at the airport in which you confirm your abiding the quarantine rules, de facto no one really controls whether you follow it while you here and you can spend the time the way you want and with no fear.

Hu guys, We have very good news. Since 11th of June there is no obligatory 14 days self-isolation rule in Belarus for people coming from the majority of European countries.

We are returning step by step to normal life. There are daily flights from main European countries by Belavia. We had already people coming from Austria, France, USA (though from USA there is still a quarantine)!!! So Belarus is open. The only thing that can keep you from coming here immediately are the rules of your country. But as far as I know, Germany open today...

Wonderful news! Since today the rule of 14 days self-isolation in Belarus is cancelled for the foreigners coming from:

Austria
Belgium
Germany
Greece
Danemark
Ireland
Iceland
Spain
Italy
Norway
Poland
Finland
France
Switzerland
Sweden

and many other! People coming from this countries are not obliged anymore to self-isolate themselves after arrival to Belarus. The condition is a negative result of PCR on COVID-19, performed no later than two days before the date of border crossing.
